Here is some of the stuff I used to make the songs for just one photon and the power of bad ideas
A jumble of hardware, software & ideas that recombined to become some other things

I still own an original silver colour Pearl Export drum kit which followed me through life for the past 25 years. I am not sure if I am keeping it for sentimental reasons or really believe it will be used live again.
Alas I was never going to be able to use this (recording a drum kit is an art all of its own).
For practical reasons I use my TD-50DP kit. Nearly all the drum sounds on these songs come from the V-Expressions "generations" expansion pack loaded into the drum module, & in my opinion is a brilliant alternative to the stock Roland kits.

Synth duties are spread between a Korg Prologue / Moog Sub 37 / Roland Jupiter Xm and these two in the picture.
I am not much of a keys player so they are usually triggered over midi which is a lot easier.
In my opinion both the matrixbrute and OB-6 are awesome boxes of old school electronics.

I ended up going down the modular route in my foolish quest to build the perfect Euclidean generator.
That was the easy part, trying to run it through a Poly 2 midi convertor and control it via my DAW was hilarious.
I don't recommend this route unless you have many, many days & weeks to spare.
